Printmaking 2017
This is a great course for anyone willing to explore printmaking, challenge their colour composition and drawing skills.

The course covers a variety of low tech printmaking techniques and participants will experiment with different images taken locally or from memory.
The course covers the following printing techniques:
Gelli printing : favoured by crafters the world over this printing is accessible to all and means you can use different colours on the same plate. Participants will also explore the possibilities of collage and chine colle’, using different type of paper and inks.

Viscosity technique : Participants will print in colour by using a single plate, layering ink on the surface with a set of rollers.
​
Monotype: similarly to painting this technique allows only one copy to be obtained. Participants will experiment with mark-making using different brushes, inks and stencils.
Skill level
The course is suitable for beginners. Materials provided.
About the Artist
Trish Bryce is an artist and art educator from Edinburgh with several years experience of running workshops and classes. She has worked in the National Museum of Scotland, The Burrell Collection, Tayside Arts and Healthcare and ArtLink amongst others. She has worked with a variety of students of various skills level. She has a Masters in European Arts and a Masters in Printmaking/Painting.
