Read and Mend

This group was originally inspired by Sarah Thomas's description of communal storytelling on Icelandic winter evenings ('kvöldvaka') in her book The Raven's Nest. A wonderful bunch of people come together to stay cosy and entertained on cold dark Granton evenings, sharing company and ideas. Everyone brings their own craft project and we take turns reading aloud to each other. Read and Mend has helped me to discover joy in winter evenings. All people and stories / poems / non-fiction welcome. Come to share or just listen!
