About the event
Join granton:hub for a bike ride to see the new mural at Granton Castle Walled Garden.
We were funded through ArtRoots (Sustrans) to commission a new mural for Granton, which is now up and looking great at it's new home at Granton Castle Walled Garden. To celebrate art and bike routes, we'll be meeting at Lauriston Farm (EH4 5EX) and then going on a group cycle to visit the new mural and hear about the inspiration behind it.
The cycle will be at a leisurly pace, along Silverknowles Road and then along the sea front to the walled garden. It should only be about 20-30 minutes at a slow pace and most of it is off road. If you'd rather just skip to the end, go straight to the mural for around 2pm and meet the cyclists there. This event is BYOB (bring your own bike).
If you'd like to make a day of it, Lauriston Farm are having an Agroforestry Open Day the same day, so you could get there early and have a look around. Granton Castle Walled Garden are open to visitors from 2-4pm at the weekends so you will be also welcome to have an explore of their beautiful grounds.
